Welcome San Francisco Bay Area Indie Authors!
I’m the organizer of the San Francisco Bay Area Indie Authors Group. The San Francisco Self Publishing Author Group has been meeting regularly since 2012, and we have a solid core of group members who have self published their fiction and non-fiction books.
If you’re a writer in the San Francisco Bay Area who is self published or is getting ready/interested in self publishing, please join us to talk shop; however, please note that the purpose of this group is to share ideas/strategies on self publishing and marketing our books. This group is not a writing/critique club, so we’re not focusing on “how to write”, but more on the business (publishing) side of authorship.
In order to keep this group laser-focused; we’re looking for members that meet the following criteria:
- You must have one book published (self or legacy published), or a completed manuscript, that you’re planning to self publish and market soon.
- You’re a service provider to indie authors (editor, cover designer, marketing, social media expert, etc.)
All levels of experience are welcomed (already self published, full-time author, rookie self publisher, legacy published author interested in self publishing, as well as publicists, book marketing experts, etc.).
We have a great group with an eclectic background in the publishing world. We meet regularly and you’ll also be informed about other San Francisco indie author events.
